Das Fritz-Hüser-Institut in Dortmund ist Europas einziges Forschungsinstitut mit Bibliothek und Archiv zu Literatur und Kultur der Arbeitswelt. Zum ersten Mal in seiner insgesamt 80-jährigen Geschichte legt es ein umfassendes Inventar aller Bestände von Bibliothek, Handschriften-, Dokumenten-, Grafik-, Medien- und Fotoarchiv vor. Schwerpunkte sind Dichtung und Biografien von Arbeitnehmern und Arbeitslosen von 1800 bis heute, vollständige Archive verschiedener Schriftsteller-Vereinigungen, Autorennachlässe sowie Sammlungen zu Kulturorganisationen. Umfangreiche Namen-, Orts- und Sachregister ermöglichen das schnelle Auffinden sämtlicher Einzelnachweise. The Fritz-Hüser-Institut in Dortmund is Europe's only research institute with a library and an archive for the literature and culture of the world of employment. For the first time in its 80-year history, a comprehensive inventory of the holdings of the library and manuscript, document, graphic, media and photographic archives is available. The main focus is on the lyrics and biographies of employees and unemployed people from 1800 to the present, complete archives of different author associations, authors bequests as well as collections of cultural organizations. Comprehensive indexes of names, places and subjects make it possible to find individual entries quickly.
