In consideration of what constitutes democracy today, social and artistic discourses often go hand in hand. Urban publics and the performing arts are joined in the question of new forms of assembly and participation: How do collectives come to decisions, who is involved, and how does community involvement conceive of its future? In this volume, the first artistic-scientific research training group in Germany gathers research findings in which scientific analysis and artistic research engage with one other.
