Anhand einer Untersuchung von Vorwurfsaktivitäten in informellen Alltagsinteraktionen werden in dieser Arbeit zwei ansonsten separat gehaltene Forschungszweige der Sprachwissenschaft verbunden: die Untersuchung sprachlicher Strukturen und ihrer Funktionen sowie die Analyse der interaktiven Konstruktion kommunikativer Muster und Gattungen. Die analysierten Vorwurfsaktivitäten umfassen "in situ Vorwürfe", "Frotzeleien" sowie Rekonstruktionen vergangener Vorwurfsinteraktionen in "Beschwerdegeschichten". In Zusammenhang mit den Gattungsanalysen werden exemplarische Untersuchungen ausgewählter grammatischer, prosodischer und rhetorisch-stilistischer Phänomene vorgenommen, wie eine prosodische Analyse der "vorwurfsvollen Stimme" in Alltagsvorwürfen, die prosodische, lexiko-semantische und rhetorisch-stilistische Konstitution der Spiel- und Spaß-Modalität in Frotzeleien, grammatische und prosodische Verfahren der Redewiedergabe in Zusammenhang mit Vorwurfsrekonstruktionen und die Verwendung des narrativen Präsens in Beschwerdeerzählungen. Auf der Grundlage der empirischen Gattungsanalysen werden schließlich verallgemeinernde Konsequenzen für eine Theorie kommunikativer Praxis - und damit für die Analyse sprachlicher Strukturen in ihrer diskursiven, kontextgebundenen Verwendung - gezogen. Hier werden u.a. Aspekte wie die gattungsspezifische Funktion grammatischer Strukturen, die Interaktion prosodischer und syntaktischer Verfahren bei der Herstellung kommunikativer Bedeutung, die Rolle indexikalischer Zeichen beim Prozeß der Bedeutungsaushandlung sowie die Funktion kommunikativer Vagheiten und Ambiguitäten als interaktive Ressourcen diskutiert. |

On the basis of a study of reproach activities ('in situ reproaches', 'mock reproaches' and reconstructions of previous reproach interactions in 'complaint stories') the monograph examines prosodic, grammatical, rhetorical/stylistic processes and their functions in everyday usage. Following an analysis of the constitution of these reproach genres the study charts the consequences for a theory of communicative practice and discusses aspects such as the genre-specific function of grammatical structures, the interaction between prosodic and syntactic procedures in the production of communicative meaning, and the role of indexical signs in the negotiation of meaning. |
