Die vorliegende Arbeit untersucht die in den Jahren 1935 bis 1945 von Heinrich Himmler in seiner Funktion als Reichsführer SS herausgegebene Wochenzeitung der Schutzstaffeln der NSDAP. Mit einer zeitweiligen Auflagenhöhe von 1,08 Millionen Exemplaren wurde »Das Schwarze Korps. Zeitung der Schutzstaffeln der NSDAP. Organ der Reichsführung SS« - so der vollständige Titel - unter Führung seines Hauptschriftleiters, SS-Standartenführer Gunter d'Alquen, zur zweitgrößten Wochenzeitung nach dem »Reich«. Das Blatt erwarb sich als aggressiver Verfechter eines "kristallklaren Nationalsozialismus" bald den Ruf einer "Reichsbeschwerdestelle", indem es auf Zuschriften von Unzufriedenen und Denunzianten aus der Bevölkerung zurückgriff. In seinen Beiträgen prangerte es mit puristischem Eifer tatsächliche oder vermeindliche Mißstände im Land an, so daß es zu einer Vielzahl weltanschaulicher Konflikte und Kompetenzrivalitäten mit anderen Institutionen des NS-Herrschaftsapparates kam. Die Arbeit hat einen interdisziplinären Ansatz, der die Fächer Germanistik und Geschichte in gegenseitiger Ergänzung miteinander verbindet. Dementsprechend bietet die Untersuchung neben einer Darstellung der Geschichte des »Schwarzen Korps« eine Analyse seiner inhaltlichen Konzeption, seines Sprachgebrauchs und seiner formalen Gestaltung. Behandelt werden im einzelnen die Geschichte der Kommunikatoren (I. Kapitel), der historische Kontext (II. Kapitel), die Abhängigkeiten von den politischen Instanzen (III. Kapitel), die thematischen Schwerpunkte (IV. Kapitel) und schließlich die sprachliche (V. Kapitel) und formale Gestaltung (VI. Kapitel). Als Fazit werden die Ergebnisse der vorangegangenen Darstellungen und Auswertungen als Profil- und Positionsbestimmung des »Schwarzen Korps« im "NS-Blätterwald" konzentriert vorgestellt. |

This volume is a study of the weekly SS newspaper »Das Schwarze Korps« published between 1935 and 1945 under the aegis of Heinrich Himmler. With editor-in-chief Gunter d'Alquen at the helm, the mouthpiece of the SS quickly became the most widely-read weekly after the »Reich«. Pursuing an interdisciplinary approach that combines historical description and linguistic analysis, the study examines the history of the editorial board, the historical context, dependencies on political authorities, central themes, and the linguistic and formal character of the publication. Finally, these findings are drawn upon to essay a definition of the specific profile and status of »Das Schwarze Korps« in the overall journalistic landscape of the Third Reich. |
