"In the following translation [of vol. I] the six last and doubtful sermons have been omitted and a few other numbers of Parts I and II have been replaced by substitutes, either discoveries of Pfeiffer's or from independent sources." - [Vol. I] p. xiii.
Vol. II. ha come titolo: The works of Meister Eckhardt, Doctor Ecstaticus...volume II, containing, besides the 'lost' Book of Benedictus and Pfeiffer's Tractate XVII, a number of sermons from the Oxford codex entitled 'The paradise of the rational soul' and other poems. Also some hitherto unrecognised works from an unpublished manuscript dated 1440, formerly in the possession of the late Professor Carl Schmidt. Translation by C. de B. Evans.
