The comprehensive volume deals with the manufacturing processes involved in the following Canadian industries: Aluminum, Beef, Brewing, Brick, Detergents, Flat-Drawn Glass, Asbestos-Magnesia Insulation, Iron and Steel, Magazine Publishing, Petroleum, Pulp and Paper, Rubber, Textiles (Cotton), Textiles (Wool), Textiles (Man-Made Fibres), Tobacco, Wire and Cable. The securing and preliminary preparation of raw materials are given, all stages of processing from receiving materials in the plant to final packaging and shipping outlined, and process charts, photographs, sketches, flow diagrams, and schematic diagrams aiding to understanding of the text are provided. The material in this book was originally prepared by individuals or staff engaged actively in these Canadian industries, and is, therefore, a co-operative effort on the part of Canadian industry. It has been carefully edited and prepared for press by Mr. Livingston.
