So entsteht ein lichterfüllter Raum für Gebet und Meditation,monumental und intim zugleich – Ästhetik und Technologie in perfekter Synthese. In zahlreichen Zeichnungen, Modellen, Renderings und Fotos zeigt das Buch den Entwurfs- und Konstruktionsprozess und die Schönheit dieses einzigartigen Gebäudes; Situated at the foothills of the Andes, overlooking the city of Santiago, Chile, the Bahá’í Temple of South America will be opened in fall 2016. The Bahá’í House of Worship is the most recent of the continental temples. It welcomes people from all directions and all creeds. Designed by Siamak Hariri and his team at Hariri Pontarini Architects in Toronto, Canada, the sacred building combines advanced engineering solutions, cutting-edge material innovation, and computerized fabrication methods to create a light-filled space for prayer and meditation – at once monumental and intimate.
