Im Mittelpunkt stehen dabei die über ein Dutzend Artusromane in Reimpaarversen, die zwischen etwa 1180 (Hartmann von Aue) und 1300 (Konrad von Stoffeln) entstanden sind. Darüber hinaus wird das Auftreten der Artusfigur und der Mitglieder der Tafelrunde in anderen deutschsprachigen Gattungen und Kontexten (Minnesang, Sangspruch, Fastnachtspiel, Fresken u.a.) seit dem 13. Jahrhundert verfolgt. Der weitere Ausblick in das Spätmittelalter endet mit dem ‚Buch der Abenteuer‘ des Ulrich Füetrer und dem berühmten Ambraser Heldenbuch des Kaisers Maximilians I; This textbook provides an introduction to German Arthurian poetry in the High and Late Middle Ages. The main focus is on romances in rhyming couplets produced between 1180 and 1300. In addition, the appearance of the figure of Arthur and other members of the Round Table is traced in other Germanophone genres and contexts. The account ends in the Late Middle Ages with Ulrich Fetrer’s Buch der Abenteuer and Maximilian I.’s Ambraser Heldenbuch
