N2  - Die Valenzgrammatik ist wie die Mehrzahl moderner Grammatiktheorien eine projektionistische Theorie. Sie geht davon aus, dass Verben (und andere Valenzträger) mit einer Fügungspotenz (Valenz) ausgestattet sind, die die Satzstruktur bzw. die Konstruktion determiniert. Köpfe von Phrasen (Valenzträger) projizieren die Phrase. In seinem ersten Teil gibt das Buch auf der Grundlage eines funktionalen, monostratalen und prototypentheoretischen Ansatzes einen Abriss einer projektionistischen Valenztheorie. Es wird gezeigt, dass eine Reihe von Problemen eine Revision der bisherigen Valenztheorie verlangt. Notwendig sind die Aufhebung des Invarianzpostulats zu Gunsten von Prototypik und die Aufhebung der starren Trennung von langue und parole und von Synchronie und Diachronie. Im Gegensatz zu projektionistischen Grammatiktheorien gelangt die Konstruktionsgrammatik nicht von Köpfen (z.B. Verben) zu Phrasen (Konstruktionen), sondern setzt bei Konstruktionen an. Im zweiten Teil des Buches werden Ideen der Valenzgrammatik mit Ideen der Konstruktionsgrammatik verbunden. Es wird gezeigt, dass und wie Wörter und Konstruktionen sich wechselseitig determinieren und wie aus diesem Wechselverhältnis kreativer Sprachgebrauch entsteht; Valency grammar assumes that words, e.g. verbs, have a valency that determines the design of the construction - in the case of verbs the construction of the sentence. Construction grammar, a current direction of grammar research, does not start from the word and go to the sentence (to the construction), but as a matter of principle always starts from the construction. Both approaches are presented together in this book to show how word and construction determine each other reciprocally and how creative language usage develops from this reciprocal relationship
