N2  - Die grundlegende Monographie über das Gebet bei Luther hat als Quellenbasis Luthers bislang in der Forschung als Ganze wenig beachtete dritte Psalmenvorlesung. Sie wird als ein gleichsam interaktiver, rechtfertigungstheologisch verankerter Dank- und Bittgebetsvollzug erfasst. Ihre Pointe erhält die Arbeit durch die thematische Fokussierung auf die von Luther im programmatischen ersten Satz benannten Gebetsakte des Lobens und Dankens. Es wird plausibel, dass die Vorrangstellung des Lob- und Dankgebets vor dem Bittgebet rechtfertigungstheologisch begründet ist. Die Arbeit eröffnet mit ihrer speziellen Verfahrenstechnik einen neuen Zugang zur Theologie Luthers und beansprucht nicht weniger als gesamttheologische Relevanz; This seminal monograph on prayer in Luther's theology takes as its basic source text Luther's third lecture on the psalms, which has hitherto received little attention from researchers. The lecture is taken as a form of interactive performance of a prayer of thanks and intercession grounded in the theology of justification. The main point of the study is given in its thematic focus on the prayer act of praise and thanksgiving which Luther brings up in his programmatic first sentence. It becomes plausible that giving the prayers of praise and thanksgiving priority over the prayer of intercession is based on the theology of justification. With its special methodology, this study opens up a new approach to Luther's theology and makes a claim for no less than general theological relevance
