N2  - "Black Spaces" thematises the phenomenon of a space without light. How can such a seemingly limitless space be grasped? How can space be conceived and designed if the parameters actually contradict the spatial dimensions? A project group at the Technical University of Munich has examined the topic from different perspectives. Conversations with the architects Donatella Fioretti, Astrid Staufer and Francesca Torzo explore this architectural phenomenon. This book shows the results of the design work using selected examples that accompany the textual content of the book as a separate storyline; Die Publikation »Schwarze Räume« thematisiert das Phänomen des lichtleeren Raums. Wie ist ein solcher, scheinbar grenzenloser Raum begreifbar? Wie kann Raum gedacht und entworfen werden, wenn die Parameter dem Räumlichen eigentlich widersprechen? Eine Projektgruppe an der Technischen Universität München hat das Thema aus unterschiedlichen Blickwinkeln untersucht. Anhand konkreter Entwurfsaufgaben wie einem Kino, einem Refugium und einem Kolumbarium wurden diese »Schwarzräume« prozesshaft analysiert und erarbeitet.Gespräche mit den Architektinnen Donatella Fioretti, Astrid Staufer und Francesca Torzo erörtern dieses architektonische Phänomen. Weitere kürzere Aperçus und Zitate stammen von Architekten, Künstlern und Filmemachern, die das Thema sehr unterschiedlich beleuchten
