In order to mark the 400th anniversary of his death, a symposium was held in 2005 at Notre Dame University-Louaize in honor of al-Haqlani and his contributions to scholarship. The papers presented at that conference, in both Arabic and French, are gathered in the present volume, and they treat various aspects of al-Haqlani’s life, career, and lasting impact in Maronite scholarship. The work is organized in three thematic sections, and each section contains contributions by scholars who are well-suited to assess al-Haqlani and his place within Maronite history and the broader history of scholarship UR - https://doi.org/10.31826/9781463247843 UR - https://www.degruyter.com/isbn/9781463247843 UR - https://www.degruyter.com/document/cover/isbn/9781463247843/original ER -
